Marcos Juarez, August 18 and 19

Municipal decree

Diario local

After a long day, the Dukes arrived at sunset in Marcos Juarez. Early in the morning, Sunday 18th, the Choir had said its farewell to the fans in the City of Córdoba.

Near noon, after visiting the Municipality and enjoying the exquisite, locally made salamis, the Duke of Cornwall Singers made their presence felt on the state of the Salami Festival of

Finally, they arrived at Marcos Juarez, with a warm reception from the local municipal authorities, and the waiting host families. After a toast and welcome words, the Dukes walked through the streets, singing and dancing, a giving a small preview of next day's show.

That next day, Monday, started early with workshops at the 'Club Argentino'. There, Dalene teached some songs to the members of the local choir, with their corresponding steps. Later, Daniela did the same with the Dukes.

Later, both groups together showed what they had been practicing during the day at the workshops. Afterwards, the Dukes did their show with an audience of more than six hundred. They received an ovation at the end of their performance.

Once the show concluded, host families and foreign visitors enjoyed fried chicken (asado) at the Club Argentino. This was the right moment to exchange presents, and the evening ended with a party with folcloric dances, and finally everybody danced on the rithm of the local 'cuarteto cordobés'.

Again early the next morning, the Dukes travelled to Bell Ville and Cruz Alta. Late that night, they returned to Marcos Juarez to stay with their host families.

The final goodbye was next day, Wednesday 21th. At mid-morning, and travelling in three groups, the Dukes left for Villa María, leaving Marcos Juarez for the last time.
